Why does it state the finding to have “inconclusive evidence,” I thought it was a murder, murder, suicide. The reports state that this situation isn’t cut and dry like the rumors imply. I couldn’t stop thinking that there was something else going on here. I didn’t think that he was suicidal. It was like Hannah in 13 Reasons Why. He didn’t leave a note or tapes or anything. His mother always has secret service around, so how could this all happen? I needed to change to get to my best friend’s house.
When I arrived she had the music blasting. It was like she was having a party for one. Everything about her was light and like a breath of fresh air in the world of destruction. She did not have a care in the world. Just happy.
“GOOD GOD! Why are you in all black? Are you going for the bank robber look?” She asked before she let me in.
“Yes. We are going to be bank robbers tonight. Didn’t you get my memo?” I oozed sarcasm.
She rolled her eyes and danced away.
There’s only one bank in town and well they don’t keep money in the bank. There was one bank robbery back in the day. And when I mean back in the day… they had horses and carriages. Anyway, after that they would send the money out at the end of the day so there was no money in the back when they closed.
“Let’s do something crazy!” She exclaimed from her room. I had commandeered the couch. I felt fine sitting there for the rest of the night with a bag of popcorn and sappy movies.
“What do you have in mind?” I screamed.
“What?!” She screamed back.
I got up and walked back to her room.
“I said, ‘what do you have in mind’” I restated and sat on her bed. I had to move the piles of clothes and wedge myself into a comfortable position. She hadn’t changed at all.
“Let’s do a séance! Go to the murder house and call on the spirits. What do you think? I mean you are already in black.” She pulled out a black turtleneck sweater and black jeans. There was no way to change her mind.
“Sure, why not. There’s probably nothing else to do here right?”
“Well we could go to the neighbors and go skinny dipping like we used to. But it’s not the same without the boys there.” She was looking in her makeup. She lifted the black lipstick like it was holy. I’m not sure what she was trying to do. Look like a football player?
“We need to leave now before you change your mind.”
I rolled my eyes at that comment.
