Boyfriend Booze & Bitches

I should probably tell you why I came home for the summer. I had a rough year. I caught my boyfriend with my best friend from school. Walked in on them and everything. Traumatized me for life. Apparently, they’d been together since the day we (me and the asshead) met and started dating. We met at the only party I went to that year. My former school bestie had convinced me to go, “You need to loosen up before your hair turns white!”

I was crushed. It was like you put my heart was dropped into liquid nitrogen. Then sledgehammered it into dust. I cried for about a month. I lost my best friend and my boyfriend. Then, I felt numb, just going through the motions of school. I wouldn’t talk to anyone but my marks surprisingly went up. I was determined to keep my mind on my studies if I thought of something else, I would study twice as much.

Of course, I saw them everywhere they were the new it couple. It was a small school. There was no hiding from it and you know what? They weren’t ashamed like you would think they would be! I actually never told Gigi about it. I don’t like being the center of attention.

It’s crazy that Gigi was broken up with about three weeks ago and now she has a new boyfriend. Girl doesn’t waste anytime getting back out there. I think his name’s Sebastian or something. Anyways she met him at the country club at an event her father made her go to. I guess some things are meant to be. They were sat at the same table. He challenged her to a drinking contest. She actually gave him her real number, which is shocking because even intoxicated Gigi gives out her standard 1800biteme number to random guys. I guess this one is different. I haven’t met him yet but I will soon.

You might be wondering where I am…. well, I’m with my dad. Gigi’s father is an ass and I don’t usually refer to people as animals. I got the door and he was there looking powerful. He said “Who the F are you? This is my house and I know everyone who works here.”  I responded that it was me Ashton, his daughter’s best friend forever. He didn’t remember me and then he grabbed my arms lifted me up and put me out the door on the spot where the welcome mat would be, if they had one. He slammed the door in my face. I knocked on the door. No one. I knocked again. I needed my phone and computer if I was going to leave. No answer. So I thought what would Gigi do? I got in the house through the window. I had to climb a tree, shimmy the side of the house and take a leap of faith to Gigi’s balcony. I don’t know how Logan did it all the time, that boy must be part monkey!

I know Gigi leaves her window unlocked in case of an emergency, like when she needs to sneak out. You know those sporadic times that her father is actually home and he’s watching the doors. I almost fell twice while carrying my backpack of essentials: my phone, computer, chargers and some clothes.

As soon as I walked to the front gate I called my father. ” Daddy, I need you to come get me.”

XOXO
